More and more business owners realize the importance of having a Facebook business page. In the same way, Facebook feels the urge to utilize this need through coming up with better features such as an analytics tool or autoresponder. We can never really know on how they are going to upgrade its platform for marketers online.

Facebook Reaches 2 Billion Users
Whenever you open your facebook account, you are constantly receiving new friend requests and more pages to like. No wonder there is a big probability that Facebook will hit 2 billion users worldwide. After all the recent research conducted in September of 2013 concludes that there are over 728 million users already. It has increased at 23% from the previous year. With this number, 2 billion is definitely not possible for this social media giant.

But what happens when there are 2 billion users? How can Facebook manage an overload of data and users?

Facebook is seeing a probable $1 billion revenue through dominating video ads, which is unlike YouTube that expects to come with a $4 billion revenue by the end of the year. Referred as Facebook Video Ads, it might be launched by the first quarter of 2014 and seen by US-based users. Meanwhile, users from Europe and Asia might see video ads on their Facebook walls in the last quarter of 2014.

Facebook Acquiring High Potential Brands
It is no news already that big companies acquire brands with high potentials in order to utilize what’s best for their network and to alleviate their competitors. While Yahoo has acquired Tumblr, Facebook has recently bought the famous Instagram. In addition, Team Zuckerberg also tried bidding SnapChat for an all-cash 3 million but was denied by SnapChat’s co-founder Eric Spiegel. Apparently, there are news stating that Facebook also plans of obtaining a struggling mobile brand company, BlackBerry Ltd.

Many considers that Facebook should get an upgrade when it comes to ecommerce. Though other social media sites such as Twitter and LinkedIn haven’t done it yet, people are thinking that maybe Facebook can take advantage of its popularity through channeling ecommerce. With such vision, there is big chances of gaining more revenue.
