We all are aware of the fact that maintaining a healthy lifestyle means fewer trips to the doctor. Even if we know that, we tend to ignore it, finding reasons like busy schedule, sleeplessness or due to stress or strain.
Here are moderate activities for a healthy lifestyle:-
• Avoid eating food containing more fat in it, although healthy fats like omega-3, mono and poly saturated are better for your health, as these help in lowering your cholesterol levels and decreases the chance of getting heart diseases.
Choose fresh vegetables, fruits or freshly extracted fruit juices and wheat bread, instead of having preserved fruit juices, cool drinks and sweets that has more carbohydrates and more sugar.
• Along with healthy food, you need to do some physical exercises, yoga etc. Start with stretching, to warm up your body and finish it by relaxing your body.
• At the gym, enrol your name in programs related to strength and Cardio exercises. See that you go at least twice or thrice a week to the gym.
• You could also include any sport like tennis or badminton.
• 30 minutes of walking in the morning is beneficial to health as well as makes you lively and energetic for the day ahead.
• For quick results, you can do cycling or jogging instead of walking, for at least 30 minutes.
• Meditation like pyramid yoga would work as a stress buster.
• Apart from workouts done outside, actions like housework and gardening or planting is beneficial for health.
• You can concentrate on the moderate to vigorous aerobic activities at least 5days a week, divided into several sessions of 15 minutes or more than that.
• Add different types of physical exercises to your routine work out menu, until you choose the right schedule for you.
• Enrol yourself in a team or refreshment or athletic action to increase your network and even to be engaged in physical activities that help to improve your health.
• If you need a motivation or a company to do the exercises, you can ask your friends to come along; you can also join some spin classes or salsa, by which you can be involved and might get enough exercise for your body.
• Don’t spend more time in watching television during leisure.
• Don’t use the diet pills, diet supplements or liquids, unless you are under observation by a physician.
• Always maintain a chart, in which you note the weight and regularise it accordingly, as being underweight or overweight are signs of unhealthy lifestyle.
• Restrict yourself against bad habits like smoking and drinking alcohol, as they increase the risk of lung cancer, heart stroke etc.
• According to a survey, it is proved that people who tend to sleep less would end up gaining more weight.
So sleep sound, exercise moderately and eat healthy to gain a life full of vigour and energy.
